What are the standard sizes for cable ties?

A cable tie’s length ranges between 80 mm and 1,200 mm, while its width can range from 2.5 mm to 12 mm, with tensile strengths varying from 8 kg to 250 kg. The ET-4×200 is an example of an 8 inch (3.5 mm width) cable tie with a tensile strength of 18 kg.

How do I choose between 2.5mm and 3.5mm width cable ties?

The ET‑4 series of 3.25 mm (¼ in) wide cable ties (3.25 mm) has a maximum working tensile strength of 18 kg for typical usage in medium-duty applications like medium-duty bundling. In addition, for bundling heavy cables that require additional pull strength, use the 3.25 mm (¼ in) width to increase the holding capacity of the tie.

What is the difference between 8 inch and other lengths?

Cable ties measuring 8 inches can be bundled into 50 millimetre diameters, making them ideal for securing medium-sized cabling bundles within industrial control panels, storehouse logistics, and outdoors applications. If you have a smaller bundle, you can use 4″ – 6″ length cable ties. For larger bundles, you would use a cable tie that is between 10″ and 20″ in length.

Can I get 100‑pack or bulk packaging?

We currently provide bulk packs of100, 500, and custom packaging to customers on a regular basis. Most of our customers daily utilize the 100 Pack 8 Inch Black UV Heavy Duty Cable Tie or 8 Inch Secure Cable Tie – 100 Pack as part of their daily operations. Are these cable ties UV resistant for outdoor use?

The black variation is composed of a carbon black additive for UV stabilization, making it suitable for outdoor and sun-exposed locations. For extreme UV conditions, please contact us to inquire about enhanced UV-resistant versions.
